Opening: Plumber Helper / Trades Laborer

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
In this role, you’ll work alongside licensed plumbers and other skilled trades professionals to assist with a variety of plumbing, utility, facility maintenance, and event-related projects. You’ll help install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, drains, valves, hydrants, water and sewer lines, as well as assist with underground utility work, trenching, system inspections, and winterization. You may also support irrigation, wells, backflow assemblies, and fire sprinkler systems, along with general trades and grounds maintenance such as asphalt patching, site cleanup, and repairing trip hazards. This is a hands-on position that will also help with setting up and tearing down fairs, shows, and special events, while supporting plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, and other operations staff as needed. You’ll be expected to follow all safety procedures, properly use tools and PPE, and be flexible in helping wherever needed to keep facilities and event operations running smoothly.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
For this role, you’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Previous maintenance experience, trade school coursework, or enrollment in an apprenticeship program is preferred but not required, and entry-level candidates who are interested in plumbing or the skilled trades are encouraged to apply. You should have basic mechanical ability, be comfortable learning to use hand and power tools, and be able to follow directions while working both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive, cooperative attitude are important, as you’ll be working in a fast-paced environment and helping with a variety of tasks. This is a physically active position that requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including the ability to safely lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance or equipment.
