Ophthalmic Technician (COA/COT/COMT) - Travel Contract
Location: Chestnut Hill, MA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours Bi-Weekly

Job Summary
We are seeking a certified Ophthalmic Technician to support a busy ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting Ophthalmologists and Optometrists, performing diagnostic eye testing, obtaining patient histories, and maintaining clinical workflow.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current COA, COT, or COMT Certification (JCAHPO)
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Ophthalmic Technician experience
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient histories, including eye symptoms, medications, and allergies
- Perform visual acuity testing
- Measure intraocular pressure using Tonopen and Applanation Tonometry
- Administer eye drops as directed
- Perform diagnostic testing including:
- OCT
- Fundus Photography
- Visual Field Testing
- Autorefraction
- Lensometry
- Corneal Topography
- A/B Ultrasonic Scans
- Refractions
- Monitor patient flow and provider schedules
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with patient documentation and record management
