Job Summary
To manually assemble various fiber optical (and electrical) connections according to provided blueprints, work instructions and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities / Job Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

Manually assemble complex fiber optics

Ensure completed assembly and its components meet specified requirements; Prepare finished assembly for shipment (labeling, packaging)

Help maintain a safe work environment
Required Knowledge and Abilities

Able to read and interpret schematics & assembly drawings
-
Excellent hand-eye co-ordination and manual dexterity

Able to bend and lift weight of up to 25 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. on occasion

Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time (with neck bent forward)

Able to concentrate when performing tasks that require accuracy

Operation of desktop computer and peripherals

Self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills

Well organized and able to work within time constraints

Able to multi-task

Authentic, loyal, and reliable personality with good interpersonal skills

Good oral and written communication skills

Fluency in English. Other languages considered an asset
