Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and applying hair extensions using techniques such as balayage, highlights, and color theory principles.
- Provide specialized treatments like eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction.
- Manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as MINDBODY to ensure smooth scheduling and client flow.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by sterilizing tools and ensuring the salon adheres to health regulations.
- Offer expert product recommendations and upsell retail items to boost sales while educating clients on hair care and beauty products.
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and managing retail sales transactions with retail math accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in barbering, cosmetology, and store management practices to foster a collaborative environment.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of hair extensions application and hair styling techniques aligned with current trends.
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Strong understanding of color theory for customized coloring solutions that complement each client’s skin tone and style preferences.
- Skilled in using tools such as straight razors and implementing sanitation protocols for safe barbering practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build lasting client relationships.
- Experience in retail sales with a focus on upselling complementary products such as makeup, nail care items, or hair accessories.
- Ability to perform detailed hair threading and eyelash extension procedures with precision.
- Knowledge of store management essentials including inventory control, retail math calculations, and team mentoring.
