The Night Auditor is responsible for providing exceptional guest service during the overnight shift while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily financial transactions. This role combines front desk responsibilities with accounting functions, balancing daily revenue, preparing financial reports, and maintaining the safety and security of the resort throughout the night.

Perform the nightly audit process according to company procedures.

Balance daily revenue from all departments, including Front Office, Restaurants, Bars, Marina, Retail, and other revenue outlets.

Verify room rates, packages, taxes, discounts, and billing accuracy.

Reconcile credit card transactions, and other payment methods.

Generate and distribute required daily financial and operational reports.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies before closing the business day.

Prepare shift paperwork and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

Monitor the hotel throughout the overnight hours.

Answer incoming phone calls and assist guests professionally.

Coordinate with Security and Engineering regarding guest needs or emergencies.

Complete overnight property walkthroughs as required.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby.

Prepare arrivals for the following day, including room assignments and key packet preparation.

Ensure lobby coffee and guest amenities are stocked when applicable.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred.

Hospitality or customer service experience strongly preferred.

Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge preferred.

Experience with hotel property management systems (MEWS preferred).

Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
