American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a 13-week acute care assignment at a Critical Access Hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT(R) certification.

Acute care setting at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
-
Radiology/General X-ray department with 1 digital x-ray room, 1 digital fluoroscopy/x-ray room, digital portable x-ray in the ER, a C-arm in the OR, and a C-arm procedure room

Common imaging studies include trauma, orthopedic, OR, long leg, and scoliosis views
-
Average of 40–50 studies per day with multiple x-ray technologists on shift

Charting via MEDITECH; PACS via McKesson; also uses CRTIS
-
Equipment includes Siemens digital radiography, Siemens digital fluoroscopy, Siemens portable digital x-ray, and GE C-arm
-
8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, plus call
-
Rotating call approximately 1 in 2–3, shared with staff technologists; includes weekend and holiday call with a 20-minute response time requirement

Facility is closed on major holidays with rotating on-call coverage

13-week contract

Minimum of 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience

Active ARRT(R) certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted

Current BLS certification required

Active ND state license or applicable compact license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable

Experience with orthopedic views strongly preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past 12 months

Driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, each including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Perform general radiography including trauma, orthopedic, OR, long leg, and scoliosis studies
-
May assist with transport to other modalities during low-volume periods
-
Department manager is present Monday–Friday during shifts; no radiologist is on-site
-
Orientation consists of 3–5 eight-hour shifts depending on experience
-
Gray scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
-
RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after consideration

Previous travel experience is preferred but not required
