Duties
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and building automation systems.
- Lead field service operations by coordinating schedules, assigning tasks to technicians, and ensuring timely completion of service calls.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC/R equipment.
- Conduct equipment repair and maintenance on mechanical systems using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage property maintenance tasks related to plumbing, mechanical systems repair, appliance repair, and general building upkeep to support facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants and maintain proper documentation for refrigerant handling and disposal.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs for all work performed; adhere to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.
- Support HVAC system installation projects by assisting with design considerations and executing precise installation procedures aligned with project specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC systems; prior experience as a service technician is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
- Demonstrated experience in HVAC system repair, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting across various mechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle or similar is required.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are mandatory; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or welding are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces; commitment to safety protocols is essential.

Pay: $21.77 - $38.26 per hour
