This part-time position is an essential part of the First Literacy Team. The Administrative Assistant will support the work of everyone on the team: the Executive Director, Program Director, Development Director, and the Marketing and Communications Director. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Office Manager.
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Provide support to all staff members: Helping with projects, creating and printing thank-you letters, assisting in-person events, etc.
- Perform data entry and basic database management, ensuring constituent records are accurate, current, and maintained with a high level of data integrity.
- Do some bookkeeping (inputting expenses, printing checks and reconciling expenses) using Quick Books
- Manage donor mailings
- Organize and maintain the office, especially supplies and storage
- Manage logistics of weekly Professional Development Workshops, including reminder phone calls
- Manage ongoing projects
- Complete any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience with MS Office required. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Excellent attention to detail and is pleasant and responsible. Some experience with QuickBooks preferred (or has the interest and ability to learn how to use QuickBooks). Experience with a CRM preferred.
