Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to ensure efficient operations of college programs and services. Responsibilities include managing office tasks, maintaining records, preparing correspondence and reports, coordinating schedules and events, assisting with budgets, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. This role supports departmental projects and promotes a welcoming, inclusive environment while working independently to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and follow established procedures.
Job Description:
Department Operations and Processes : 5 0 %
Coordinate meetings, calendars, events, travel, and room reservations; update systems as needed.
Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, vendor requests, and routine purchases within budget.
Student/Customer Service s : 4 0 %
Greet and assist visitors in person, by phone, and email, providing information and directing inquiries as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, vision, strategic priorities and goals of the College and the primary unit, division and department of this position.
Physical : Primary functions require ability to remain in a stationary position (sit and/or stand) greater than 50% of the time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, reach; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 10 pounds frequently ; to regularly operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard; the ability communicate to exchange information; and the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions.
Environmental: Work will often occur in an office setting; where temperatures may fluctuate between high and low temperatures occasionally; may experience varying noise levels occasionally.
Vision: Ability to observe in a near visual range with or without correction or reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with one late shift per week from 10:30am – 7:00pm and one Saturday per month.
