Demonstrate a solid knowledge of and maintains currency in Applied Behavioral Analysis, providing regular training to parents, caregivers, and staff. Regularly consults to administration and district BCBAs, regarding students who have significant interfering behaviors that require home and school based services. Completes observations of students and when necessary, a range of assessments (Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), MAS, FAST, etc) Supervises direct service providers (ABA Techs) regarding specific home and school programming, implementation of programs and data collection. Develop data collection systems, graph data and train parents and staff in data collection and interpretation of data.
Develop appropriate Behavior Intervention Plans, Positive Behavioral Interventions, and reinforcement schedules and consistently model the implementation of the plans and suggested interventions. Attends IEP meetings for eligible students, determines the need for services based on evaluation data, and develops appropriate goals and benchmarks. Attends meetings with the Director of Special Education and district BCBAs to review process, cases, and implementation of behavioral strategies. Regularly gather information from parents and service providers regarding student behavior to monitor implementation of Behavior Plans Utilize the existing Student Data Management System (Aspen X2) to write goals and benchmarks for Individual Education Programs Perform all other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or designee.
