Taste of Scandinavia Bakery and Café is currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and highly organized individual for an open Kitchen manager position at our St. Paul, MN location.
The kitchen manager position is responsible for creating high quality meals for our cafe and catering menus. Our food is served in our dining room, food to go orders, and off-site catering events.
The position will coordinate the overall management of the kitchen, working closely with the Café manager and Catering manager, including, but not limited to, inventory control, quality/portion control, and training of all kitchen staff. In addition, this position allows for creative collaboration of new items with the cafe management team (including limited specials and catering menu development).
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of restaurant/café experience, hold a valid Minnesota Department of Health food manager license (or ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment), possess knowledge of state and federal food handling requirements, have a passion for food, a commitment to excellent customer service, a strong work ethic and be able to effectively manage a diverse workforce in a team oriented environment.
