JOB This is entry-level seasonal or part-time public contact work with assignments in a wide variety of areas - Recreation Center, Athletics, Tennis Center, or Watson Park. Employees receive direct supervision.

Serves customers at concession counter.

Receives and disburses cash.

Prepares and handles food.

Stocks concession products.

Performs basic equipment maintenance.

Supervises children, organizes and leads games and assists with class instruction.

Officiates or keeps score for sports activities.

Performs basic custodial duties.

Sets up and takes down building furnishings and arrangements.

Completion of work assignments may require operation of a vehicle.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Required Experience and Training

Must be at least 16 years of age, or 18 years of age, dependent upon assignment.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of a sponsorship.
Preferred Experience and Training

Some experience in a customer service or retail environment.

Previous cash handling experience.
Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a pre-employment physical, which includes drug screening, and upon satisfactory evaluation of a criminal record check.
Starting pay for current City employees will be determined by City of Wichita policy or applicable bargaining unit agreement.
