Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department in delivering high-quality service to employees and management. This role is responsible for a broad range of HR functions including assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, screening, and interview coordination
- Assist with full-cycle onboarding process
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data (BambooHR, Spectrum and Airtable)
- Conduct internal employee investigations addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Manage all Leave of Absences and Reasonable Accommodations
- Administer employee benefits and assist with open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist with performance review cycles and employee development initiatives
- Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Maintain the full cycle offboarding process
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support decision-making
- Coordinate employee engagement activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in HR or related role
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- HRIS experience preferred (BambooHR, Spectrum and Airtable)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to interpret and apply State and Federal employment laws
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
