Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to manage conflicts effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is a plus, along with certifications in first aid and CPR. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to maintaining safety and loss prevention.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Observe and operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to oversee premises
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access and prevent unauthorized entry
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other security breaches
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required
- Assist in conflict management by diffusing tense situations professionally and calmly
- Conduct loss prevention activities by identifying potential theft or misconduct
Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is preferred
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations tactfully
- Excellent observation skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods

Pay: $17.00 - $17.01 per hour
