Arch Recovery Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support daily food service operations within our residential treatment facility. This position assists with meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, and maintaining a safe and sanitary food service environment for clients and staff.
The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates a positive attitude while working as part of a team. Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
Assist with preparing and serving meals according to established schedules and guidelines
Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors and surfaces
Assist with stocking food, supplies, and inventory items
Properly store food items and follow food safety procedures
Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries
Dispose of trash and maintain clean work areas throughout shifts
Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and other departments
Perform additional kitchen or housekeeping-related duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED preferred
Some experience in food service, dietary services, or kitchen environments preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and carrying items
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dependable attendance and punctuality required
Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries within a healthcare environment
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to work in hot or fast-paced kitchen environments
This position works primarily in a commercial kitchen and dining environment within a residential behavioral healthcare facility. Weekend, evening, or holiday shifts may occasionally be required based upon operational needs.of our clients.
