Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in preschool and kindergarten students.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, standardized testing preparation, and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages cooperation and respect among children.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by applying behavior management techniques and fostering inclusive classroom activities.
- Conduct assessments of child development progress through observations, documentation, and standardized testing results to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to discuss student progress, address concerns related to child welfare, and coordinate early childhood education efforts.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to safety protocols in childcare settings.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or kindergarten settings, including classroom management and lesson planning.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and special education needs.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education programs such as Montessori or similar pedagogies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Experience with classroom experience involving toddlers care, daycare environments, or private school settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of teaching physical education, literacy education techniques, math instruction, and child welfare standards.
- Certification or training in early childhood education preferred; willingness to stay current with best practices in preschool teaching.
