The International Portfolio Management Associate will work with the Director of the Dodge & Cox International Stock Fund to support portfolio construction, conduct investment research, and manage client communications for the International Stock Fund.
Responsibilities:

Support the Director of International Research on investment research and client projects.

Monitor portfolio investments, competitors, and industry developments.

Attend weekly portfolio management meetings and write meeting minutes.

Create research summaries on individual companies and/or broader topics to enhance decision-making.

Research, analyze, and perform due diligence on potential investments.

Build and maintain financial and valuation models.

Create research summaries and investment-related presentation materials.

Perform fundamental and quantitative analyses to compare companies in the portfolio.

Conduct portfolio attribution analysis to explain performance.

Utilize databases and applications to examine portfolio holdings and screen for new ideas.

Assist in creating and updating communication materials, especially during quarter-end.
This is a two-to-four-year position after which most individuals pursue a career in investing.
Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience at an investment management firm, hedge fund, investment bank, or management consulting firm.

Excellent academic record with coursework in Finance, Economics, Accounting, and Statistics. Data science coursework is a plus.

Demonstrated experience and interest in value investing, financial markets, and investment management.

Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize information and craft compelling cases.

Initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, and FactSet. Familiarity with Python and/or Tableau is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
