Duties
- Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced, appealing meal options that meet dietary needs
- Prepare and cook a variety of foods, demonstrating strong knife skills and culinary techniques
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly, attentive customer service
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food with precision and flair
- Contribute to food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, plating, and portioning
- Maintain kitchen organization, stock supplies, and ensure all equipment is clean and operational
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings demonstrating culinary skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is advantageous
- Basic understanding of kitchen equipment use, including knives and cooking tools
- Level two background
