Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare provider with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by updating patient information, coding diagnoses with ICD codes, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for infection control and patient privacy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for efficient documentation and billing processes.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across different populations.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment with heavy phone system, data entry and pharmacy refills.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
