It's the most terrifying time of the year, and Worlds of Fun's Halloween Haunt has risen from the shadows once again... and we want you to be part of it.
As a Screamster, you'll bring nightmares to life! You can lurk in the fog, startle unsuspecting guests, and fully embody a creepy character. If you love Halloween, performing, and making people jump, this is your moment to shine (or lurk in the darkness ).

As one of our Screamsters, you'll be right in the heart of the haunting. Your night may include:

Rehearsing and performing as a terrifying character within a themed haunted experience
-
Transforming into your role using makeup, masks, costumes, and special effects
-
Creating fun, safe, and memorable scares that enhance the guest experience, not just startle
-
Interacting with guests while staying fully in character, including posing for photos and engaging moments
-
Using voice, movement, and body language to fully bring your character to life
-
Maintaining excellent guest service standards at all times, helping guests feel welcomed, safe, and entertained

Working as part of a team to ensure each guest has a consistent and high-quality haunt experience.
You'll work alongside a dedicated cast of creatures who love creating unforgettable scares.
You'll be part of a supportive team that truly loves what they do.

Minimum Age: 16

Outgoing, energetic, and guest-focused personality

Strong vocal presence and willingness to be expressive

Basic acting or performance ability
-
Passion for creating positive, memorable guest interactions
-
Comfortable engaging with a wide variety of guests

Reliable and ready to show up prepared to perform
-
Availability for training, availability to work EVERY WEEKEND and required Haunt dates (Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays), and holidays

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
-
Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude -
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Audition Required
This is an interview/audition-based role where you'll showcase your personality, availability, and ability to create engaging character interactions.
Haunt Hiring Event - Worlds of Fun Grand Pavilions
Do you have what it takes to haunt the darkness? Join us at the Worlds of Fun Grand Pavilions for our Haunt Hiring Event on Sunday, June 19th, beginning at 4:30 PM. Step into the unknown and prepare to audition-every creature of the night must audition, even if you haunted our guests last season. Arrive through the Employee Parking Lot (H Lot) and be prepared to pass through security before entering. Remember, we enforce a clear bag policy, so leave anything unnecessary in your crypt. Please do not bring your costume; fittings will take place during orientation. Bring your energy, your scream, and your best spooky spirit as we search for the monsters, maniacs, and masters of fright who will bring this year's Haunt to life. The darkness awaits... and we can't wait to see you there.
