High School Marching Band Director ~ EDR Position ~ 26/27 School Year
Stipend: $5,876.00

The Marching Band Director is responsible for the artistic vision, instructional leadership, and administrative management of the high school marching band program. This includes the development of the field show, coordination of all rehearsals and performances, and the supervision of all assistant coaches, volunteers, and student members.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Artistic Leadership: Select or commission musical arrangements and drill designs. Oversee the integration of music, movement, and visual elements (Color Guard/Percussion).
Instructional Oversight: Lead all full-ensemble rehearsals, including Summer, evening practices, and sectionals.
Logistics & Travel: Coordinate transportation for students and equipment to away football games, parades, and competitive circuit events.
Staff Supervision: Supervise the Color Guard Coach, and other specialized tech staff.
Budget & Fundraising: Manage the band's annual budget and coordinates the supplemental funding, equipment purchases, and uniform maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure student safety during extreme weather (heat/cold) and maintain strict adherence to the district's field trip and overnight travel policies.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Music Education or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in marching band leadership (high school level).
Skills: Expertise in conducting, brass/woodwind and large-group management.
