We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our hotel property. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking pride in keeping facilities safe, clean, and operating properly.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks in guest rooms and common areas
- Troubleshoot basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues
- Repair doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, drywall, flooring, and other building components
- Replace light fixtures, bulbs, filters, and hardware as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
- Assist with painting, caulking, cleaning, and property improvement projects
- Monitor safety systems and report major repair needs
- Maintain grounds, exterior areas, and overall property appearance
- Interact professionally with guests and staff
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, trades, military facilities, shipyard maintenance, or similar work
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Able to lift, carry, climb ladders, and perform physical work
Preferred Background

- Former Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or National Guard
- Shipyard, facilities, hotel, apartment, commercial building, or construction maintenance experience
- Trade school, apprenticeship, or technical training
