American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 3+ years of critical access hospital experience in Acute, Trauma, ED, and Critical Care for a night shift assignment at a multi-campus medical center.

Critical access hospital setting requiring the ability to work independently

Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit assignment

Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-6:30)
-
Block schedule with weekend coverage required at minimum every other weekend, potentially more based on operational need
-
Float requirement to all 4 campus locations: Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras
-
On-call is voluntary, not required
-
Care for adult critical care, emergency department, and pediatric patient populations
-
NICU and Pediatric Critical Care experience highly preferred
-
13-week assignment length
-
RRT certification required
-
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
-
Minimum 3 years of experience required

Epic EMR experience required
-
Community hospital experience required
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred

Prior travel experience required

Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Pediatrics skills required

Candidates must not have employment gaps greater than 30 days within required work history

License required if applicable

Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
-
Perform ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
-
Administer a range of respiratory medications and manage medication delivery systems
-
Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care including CPAP, BiPAP, and oscillating ventilators
-
Care for patients with conditions such as ARDS, COVID, cystic fibrosis, RSV, and pneumonia
-
Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpretation
-
Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care

Complete required orientation modules, which are renewed annually
-
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

RTO restrictions limit time off requests to 7 days
