Job Overview
The Clinical Trials Nurse Manager works independently and with a team to coordinate various aspects of care for patients enrolled in research trials. Manages the distribution and collection of data and assures that all data is collected in compliance with FDA and GCP/ICH standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Lead a team of research coordinators to oversee the coordination ofpatients on research studies
- Manages the clinical team on day-to-day responsibilities
- Works closely with research manager, clinical team, and research vendors to coordinate study protocol needs
- Assist in reviewing patient charts to provide medical information to sponsor
- Work closely with coordinators to prepare necessary documentation & develop clinical department SOPs
- Working alongside Research Manager to ensure protocol compliance and to develop and implement process improvement
- Acts as the primary clinical point of contact for internal research staff
- Ensures all trials strictly follow institutional guidelines, FDA regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Assist in completing study activities and addressing queries
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- LVN or RN license in the state of Texas
- Oncology experience required
- Research experience preferred
- Must have professional appearance, be able to handle multiple tasks, be a self-starter and a team player
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff
