Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School promotes academic excellence in a faith-filled environment. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and dynamic Elementary Long-Term Substitute teacher for the 2026-2027 school year who possesses the ability to motivate students and differentiate instruction. Qualified applicants have experience working with young learners and a clear understanding of the academic and developmental needs of elementary-aged students. Applicants must be able to work in a team of educators, communicate effectively with parents, and be dedicated to the success of each student.
This is a full-time position.
- Be a practicing Catholic with a Bachelor’s Degree.
- A California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential/or being in the process of obtaining a credential is desirable.
- Classroom experience and familiarity with the integration of technology into the classroom is preferred.
- Candidates who have completed VIRTUS training and Catechist Certification will be given preference. VIRTUS training and fingerprinting must be completed before hiring.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
