We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part time for the entire school year Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a school's multidisciplinary team. The selected candidate will work 2 days a week, providing essential services to our students, ensuring they thrive in the educational environment.
Serving elementary age kids
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' fine and gross motor skills and functional capabilities.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address sensory, motor, and functional skills to enhance students' academic and life skills success.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
Modify classroom tools and environments to suit individual student needs.
Document students' progress and adjust intervention plans as necessary.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss student progress and goals.
Provide training and recommendations to school staff and families to support students' OT needs.
Stay updated with the latest methodologies and best practices in school-based occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid OT state license.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Passionate about student success and individualized care.
