The Company’s flagship Isabella Pearl Mine produced first gold in April 2019, just over 10 months from project groundbreaking. In 2026 the Company is mining the final benches of the Isabella Pearl open-pit. Two additional open-pit heap leach operations, the County Line & Scarlet South Mines, came online early in 2026.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The Environmental Manager is responsible for continuously improving GRC Nevada's environmental processes. This position will provide strategic leadership for all environmental compliance, permitting, and environmental management programs across the operation; while partnering with operational leadership to support safe, responsible and sustainable mining.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES
· Manage the permitting programs and environmental compliance of GRC Nevada projects in accordance with NEPA, BLM, NDOW, and other federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agencies.
· Oversee the collection of environmental baseline data, preparation and submission of environmental reports, permit applications, monitoring data, and regulatory correspondence.
· Develop and execute long-term environmental strategies that support current operations, future operations, business objectives, manage environmental risk, and ensure environmental considerations are integrated into operational planning.
· Present/disseminate information effectively and persuasively to site, executive management, and regulatory audiences.
· Develop and manage the department budget and ensure resources are utilized.
· Provide technical guidance and recommendations to site leadership regarding environmental compliance, permitting strategy, regulatory challenges and operational initiatives.
· Ensure that key issues are effectively communicated through the organization.
· Lead and develop the environmental team by establishing performance expectations, providing coaching, and fostering professional growth.
· Train and direct employees in applicable permits and best management practices, including the environmental components of workplace inspections.
· Oversee the field environmental monitoring activities related to air, water, wildlife, soil, vegetation, meteorology, and archaeology.
· Maintain a high degree of safety and health awareness through observation, risk assessments, and frequent safety meetings and audits.
Safety & Environmental:
· Responsible and accountable for the performance, and compliance of site environmental policies and procedures for all personnel and vendors.

· Identify environmental risk and develop proactive solutions that support operational efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Relationships:
· Partner with Operations, Engineering, Technical Services, Explorations, and Projects to ensure environmental requirements are incorporated into operational planning and future development.
· Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, managing permitting activities, inspections, audits, and regulatory communications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· A Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, or a related technical discipline required.
· 7 to 10 years of progressive environmental permitting, site environmental management, or environmental consulting experience within the mining industry in Nevada.
· Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for mining in Nevada is required.
· Demonstrated experience managing environmental compliance and permitting programs for active mining operations.
· Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and environmental management systems.
· Proven ability to build relationships with regulatory agencies and influence cross-functional teams.
· Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Demonstrated personal commitment to safe work practices.
· Relevant experience in developing and administering programs to prevent losses involving people, equipment, materials, and the environment.
· Strong computer skills, including a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite programs. The ability to create and manage Access databases is a plus.
· Promote a culture of environmental stewardship, continuous improvement, and regulatory excellence across the operation.
· Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective action planning.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
· Communicates effectively in English, through strong, clear, and professional writing and speaking, and group presentations; using all standard forms of business communication.

Physical Demands:
· Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
· Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The work environment will necessitate work near moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions.
· Work will be conducted where noise, dust, fumes, chemicals or vibrations may exist.
· Ability to distinguish various colors related to safety warning signs, tags, and labels.
· Able to operate a mine radio with sufficient voice and hearing to communicate information, issue directives, and provide feedback to management and subordinates.
· Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
