Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other vehicle components
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, brakes, suspension, steering, and alignments
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems efficiently
- Repair or replace components using hand tools and power tools with precision and safety in mind
- Conduct diesel engine repairs and work on GM vehicles or other makes as required
- Perform wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle handling and tire longevity
- Complete auto estimating for repairs, documenting work performed accurately for customer transparency
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or service technician experience demonstrating strong automotive repair skills
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration and advanced vehicle technology integration
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrains
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively
- Customer service experience with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Knowledge of auto estimating software and repair procedures for efficient workflow management
