Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Woodworker to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting, installing, and finishing a variety of wood products, including cabinetry, trim, framing, and custom fixtures. This role requires a strong understanding of construction plans, technical drawings, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality craftsmanship on residential and commercial projects. The Woodworker will collaborate closely with project managers, carpenters, and clients to deliver precise results that meet specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project requirements
- Operate hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood components such as cabinets, doors, siding, moldings, and framing
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with wood construction materials
- Ensure proper installation of fixtures including doors, trim, cabinetry, and siding in accordance with project specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety standards and industry best practices
- Assist in remodeling projects by providing precise carpentry work such as plastering, caulking, metal stud framing, and restoration tasks
- Collaborate with team members on construction site activities to ensure timely completion of projects
- Use CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines for precise cutting or assembly when required
- Support mold remediation efforts or other specialized restoration tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines
- Strong background in carpentry with expertise in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and metal stud framing
- Knowledge of wood construction materials such as siding, moldings, cabinetry components
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols including power tool safety practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision in assembly or installation tasks
- Experience with fixture installation—including doors, cabinetry, siding—and remodeling projects
- Hands-on experience in plastering or restoration industry work is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret construction plans accurately
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
