Job Summary:
The Sample Specialist is responsible for assembling and fulfilling sample requests generated by website, email or phone calls. This role is designed to coordinate with sales assistants and project managers to ensure appropriate selections are made throughout the development of projects within the assigned team.

- Communicate with customers regarding requested samples including but not limited to usage, availability of samples, and customization or alternative options.
- Pulling, entering, packing, and shipping sample requests.
- Sourcing and ordering samples as directed, documenting submittal samples, and sample follow-up.
- Entering sample requisitions and monitoring / tracking progress to fulfill outstanding requests.
- Reviews all communications and requests with project management staff on a daily basis.
- Update staff / materials team when notified of discontinued products.
- Create projects, add contacts, update address changes and project statuses in Netsuite when notified.
- Date stamp incoming custom samples and update when rejected or approved by client.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings to discuss daily workload, objectives, challenges, and triumphs.
- Assist Materials team as needed in replenishing samples on the shelf.
- Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Work safe always. Follow all required safety guidelines including incident reporting procedures.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not directly supervise any employees.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phone, photocopier, filing cabinet and fax machine. While performing the duties of this job, employee may occasionally attend corporate events or client meetings in other work environments such as warehouse, quarry, or construction site, etc., and should abide by all safety standards set forth by that location.

Required Education and Experience
- Must have a GED or high school diploma.

- PC / IOS proficiency and MS Office experience, Outlook, Word, Excel
