Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in various cooking techniques. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Set up stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients for meal preparation
- Assist with meal plating, garnishing, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed
- Follow all kitchen safety procedures, including knife skills and proper equipment usage
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining standards preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
