Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection, offering detailed product demos and personalized recommendations
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, cash register operations, and cash handling
- Upsell merchandise by highlighting features and benefits to meet customer needs and increase sales
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the store is visually appealing through effective merchandising
- Conduct inventory checks, manage stock levels, and assist with stocking duties to maintain product availability
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls from customers or vendors
- Support supervising staff in daily operations, including training new team members on POS systems and customer service standards
- Engage in retail math to handle cash drawer balancing and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Facilitate product demos to educate customers about new arrivals or featured items
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in boutique or luxury environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership capabilities in a retail setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
- Ability to perform cashiering duties including cash drawer handling and retail sales transactions confidently
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive customer interactions
- Basic math skills for inventory management, sales calculations, and cash handling tasks
