Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients’ conditions, including vital signs and overall health status
- Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Document patient information accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Administer medications and perform catheter care under supervision following medical protocols
- Assist with patient transfers using proper transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer belts
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and hospice support, respecting patients’ dignity and comfort at all times
- Maintain a clean environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation to promote overall health and hygiene
- Follow home healthcare regulations and safety procedures, including first aid, basic life support (BLS), CPR, and emergency response protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; active license preferred
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities or nursing homes highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and catheter care essential
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation required
- Previous home health care or hospice experience is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks associated with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts or similar equipment
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines for maintaining patient confidentiality
