This position requires regular jobsite involvement, accurate documentation, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering a professional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Review contracts, estimates, measurements, scopes of work, selections, and production documents before each project begins.
- Confirm that project details are complete and accurate before work is scheduled.
- Coordinate project schedules with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal production staff.
- Conduct pre-construction site visits and verify site conditions, access, measurements, material needs, and potential project concerns.
- Communicate project expectations, schedules, and scope requirements clearly to subcontractors and crews.
- Monitor active jobsites to ensure work is progressing according to schedule, manufacturer requirements, company standards, and the approved scope of work.
- Verify that proper safety procedures and jobsite protections are being followed.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers before, during, and after construction.
- Provide customers with updates regarding scheduling, progress, delays, material changes, and other project-related developments.
- Review plans, estimates, insurance scopes, work orders, change orders, and manufacturer specifications.
- Identify additional work, hidden damage, or scope discrepancies and document them before unauthorized work is performed.
- Obtain photographs, measurements, customer approvals, and supporting documentation for change orders or additional work.
- Coordinate material deliveries, shortages, returns, and supplemental material orders.
- Track project progress and maintain accurate notes, photographs, tasks, and status updates within the company’s CRM and project management systems.
- Address workmanship concerns, customer questions, scheduling conflicts, and jobsite issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform quality-control inspections and create completion or correction lists when necessary.
- Confirm that required inspections, permits, warranties, and project documents are completed.
- Help ensure projects are ready for invoicing and properly closed out.
- Work closely with sales, production, office staff, subcontractors, and company leadership to resolve problems and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Protect company property, customer property, materials, equipment, and the overall appearance of each jobsite.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential construction, project management, production management, site supervision, or a related position is strongly preferred.
- Experience with roofing, siding, gutters, windows, decks, remodeling, or storm-restoration projects is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand estimates, measurements, contracts, scopes of work, installation instructions, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of residential construction practices, jobsite safety, and quality-control procedures.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects, crews, customers, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and internal team members.
- Comfortable documenting projects through photographs, notes, checklists, emails, and CRM updates.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, construction CRM systems, scheduling programs, and other project-management tools.
- Ability to make sound field decisions while understanding when approval from company leadership is required.
- Willingness to spend time both in the field and in the office.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while remaining accountable to the production team.
