CNC Swiss Optimization Programmer

Summary
The CNC ESPIRIT Swiss Programmer is responsible for programming a variety of CNC Star SR38-B Swiss Machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
§ Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
§ Set up and edit programs.
§ Program and trouble-shoot CNC machines.
§ Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow
§ Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
§ Maintain a positive and respectful attitude; cooperate with co-workers, management, internal and external customers, as applicable. Report any incidents of harassment to your Supervisor, Manager or Human Resources Manager.
§ Work safely at all times and report any unsafe conditions or injuries to your Supervisor or Manager immediately.
Qualifications
§ Five plus years experience programming and operating manual and Star Swiss CNC machines, such as CNC Swiss Machines.
§ Must be able to determine programming, production methods and sequence of operations to produce parts according to blue prints and specifications.
§ Advanced math skills (i.e. trigonometry and advanced algebra).
§ Knowledge of ESPRIT software and Fanuc control experience is a plus.
Education
§ AA or Technical Certification in Journeyman and/or up to 1 year relevant work experience.
Mathematical Skills
§ Ability to perform calculations utilizing arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division normally attained through elementary school education.
§ Ability to perform calculations utilizing algebra and fractions.
Computer Skills
· Knowledge of ESPRIT software and/or Solidworks is a plus.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
