We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, and low voltage systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete wiring tasks on construction sites or renovation projects
- Test electrical circuits with tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
- Work with schematics and technical manuals involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical components
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure project milestones are met
- Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations diligently during all phases of work
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality, safety standards, and adherence to blueprints
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with a solid understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments
- Strong knowledge of low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and testing equipment like ohmmeters
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Ability to read technical schematics for complex electrical systems including PLCs and control panels
- Familiarity with NEC standards governing commercial electrical installations
- Skilled in framing carpentry or handyman tasks that support electrical work or site preparation
- Industrial electrician experience is highly desirable for handling specialized equipment or systems
- Knowledge of renovation processes involving electrical upgrades or modifications in existing structures
