We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Controls Representative to support quality assurance, installation verification, and commissioning readiness on complex mission-critical and data center projects.
This role is ideal for someone who understands Building Automation Systems, PLC-based controls, field device installation, control wiring, and commissioning processes and knows how to identify quality issues before they affect schedule, startup, or system performance.
You will work directly with project management, field supervision, commissioning teams, contractors, engineers, vendors, and owner representatives to verify that controls installations meet project specifications, approved submittals, and client expectations.

What You’ll DoQuality Inspections
- Perform initial and follow-up QA/QC inspections
- Coordinate inspections with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field supervision
- Verify controls installations against drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and project standards
- Identify deficiencies before they affect schedule or commissioning
- Confirm corrective work has been completed properly
- Track inspection progress by system, area, and project phase
Controls Installation Verification
Inspect and verify the installation of:
- PLC control panels
- BAS control panels
- Network switches
- Fiber optic systems
- BACnet/IP networks
- Sensors and transmitters
- Temperature transmitters
- Differential pressure transmitters
- Flow meters
- Valve actuators
- Damper actuators
- VFD interfaces
- Chiller controls
- Cooling tower controls
- CRAH controls
- Fan wall controls
- Pump controls
- Leak detection systems
- Emergency shutdown interfaces
Commissioning Readiness
Verify systems are properly installed and ready for:
- Point-to-point checkout
- I/O verification
- Device calibration
- Network testing
- System startup
- Factory witness testing
- Site testing
- Integrated Systems Testing
- Level 1–5 commissioning activities
You will help ensure systems are physically complete, documented, and ready before commissioning teams arrive to test them.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate daily QA/QC reports
- Create weekly quality summaries
- Document deficiencies with photographs
- Maintain deficiency tracking logs
- Manage punch list items
- Track inspections by area, system, and status
- Review as-built drawings for accuracy
- Verify field installation matches approved submittals
- Maintain inspection checklists
- Assist with project turnover documentation
- Prepare commissioning readiness reports
- Maintain organized quality records throughout the project lifecycle

Strong communication and follow-through will be critical to resolving quality issues quickly and keeping projects moving.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems
- Understanding of PLC-based control systems
- Experience with BACnet/IP communication networks
- Knowledge of control wiring practices
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings
- Strong understanding of data center MEP systems
- Familiarity with controls installation and field devices
- Knowledge of commissioning and startup processes
- Strong inspection and troubleshooting mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple inspections and project needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively with multiple contractors and stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years of Building Automation, controls, commissioning, or QA/QC experience
- Mission-critical or data center project experience
- Experience supporting commissioning activities
- Familiarity with Siemens controls
- Johnson Controls experience
- Schneider Electric experience
- Tridium Niagara experience
- Distech Controls experience
- Honeywell controls experience
- Allen-Bradley experience
- Bluebeam Revu experience
- Procore experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
Safety Expectations
- Follow all site-specific safety requirements
- Participate in daily safety meetings

- Ensure inspections are completed safely
