Duties and Responsibilities
Operational:
- Weigh, package, and label cannabis products including flower, concentrates, and pre rolls
- Follow production schedules and task assignments set by the Production Manager
- Maintain product quality and consistency during all packaging operations
- Perform visual inspection of products and packaging for quality control
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Follow all sanitation procedures and production room protocols
- Accurately follow labeling, packaging, and inventory procedures
- Handle cannabis products carefully to maintain product integrity
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager or senior management
Compliance, Safety & Standards
- Follow all Rugged Roots policies and Maine Office of Cannabis Policy regulations
- Maintain compliance with packaging and labeling requirements
- Assist with maintaining accurate records related to production and packaging activities
- Follow all facility safety protocols and required sanitation procedures
- Use required PPE and follow safe handling procedures when working with cannabis products
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or production environments preferred but not required.
Experience working in regulated or compliance driven environments is a plus.
Required Knowledge
Basic understanding of accuracy and compliance in product handling.
Ability to follow SOPs and standardized procedures consistently.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive hand movements related to packaging tasks
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Close visual focus required for accuracy in labeling and packaging
Must be at least 21 years of age per cannabis industry regulations
Must pass a drug test and background check as required by state law
Pay: $18.00 per hour
