Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista Cashier and Natural Health storeassistant to join our café team. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and managing cashier duties in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and cash handling, with a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with attention to quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for order processing and payments.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage order flow efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Restock supplies and ensure the café area remains organized and inviting.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
Skills
- Experience with POS systems such as Square
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Proven sales ability with excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, food preparation, and serving standards within the food industry.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing.
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced café environment.
