Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic or experienced helper to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and bulldozers
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical components
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues accurately
- Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures
- Assist with welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment
- Conduct tire service, alignment checks, air brake inspections, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
Skills
- Proven experience working with dealership or heavy equipment repair preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance procedures for trucks and cars
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, welding, and industrial repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
