Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Alignment and Front end Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise wheel alignments and diagnosing vehicle suspension and steering systems to ensure optimal vehicle handling, safety, and performance. You will also be responsible for installing lift and leveling kits. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of automotive repair and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, including modern passenger cars, heavy-duty trucks, and specialized equipment, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and alignment technology.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate wheel alignments on a wide range of vehicles, including standard passenger cars, trucks, and GM vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair suspension, steering, and chassis issues using automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical components related to vehicle alignment systems.
- Utilize power tools, hand tools, and alignment equipment to perform mechanical repairs and adjustments efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, diagnostics, and alignment procedures while adhering to safety standards for manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a dealership or automotive repair environment with a focus on alignment services.
- Strong knowledge of automotive engine systems, including diesel engines and powertrain components.
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration and integration during alignment procedures.
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to vehicle systems.
- Experience with automotive diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment for diagnostics and repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems such as suspension, steering, electrical wiring, and engine components.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, alignment machines, and heavy lifting equipment safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Mechanic experience with GM vehicles or other major brands is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to vehicle maintenance standards and continuous learning in automotive technology.
