The primary role of the graduate assistant (GA) is to lead, plan, coordinate, set up, and execute programming. Other duties include supporting OSAC with administrative duties, scholarly projects, and other related duties as assigned.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, planning, coordination, and set-up & execution of staple events
- Examples include Bears Connect with OSAC Fair, Transfer Week Send-Off, and targeted student receptions
- Create, design, implement, and assess an original student program
- Host a bi-annual RSO Prep Room orientation for student group leaders and maintain the organization of the space
- Keep track of the Bear Bottoms Closet supplies and host an annual drive to increase inventory and awareness
- Perform various clerical duties, including accepting and directing phone calls, preparing documents & reports
- Conduct online searches for programs, activities, events, and explore research for original scholarly projects
- Read, comprehend, summarize, write, and report information
- Work effectively with others and make meaningful contributions to a collaborative team

Required Education and/or Experience
- Enrollment in a UCA graduate program
- Successful experience interacting with the public
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Adeptness in maintaining electronic records
- Proficiency in time management and project efficiency
- Demonstrate skill in using a wide range of technologies, including Word, Excel, Canva, etc.
