Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience required.

At least three years of accounting experience.
- At least one year of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.

Effective communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

Demonstrates initiative and is able to work with little supervision.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.

Solid understanding of standard cost structures.

Proficient user of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
Summary
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Cost Accountant processes cost transactions, analyzes and adjusts direct sales cost of goods sold, reports on activity to management.
- Analyzes excess/slow moving, obsolescence, and warranty reserves; makes journal entries based on analysis.

Records monthly period cost entries and manufacturing variances; prepares analysis reports as needed.
- The Cost Accountant reviews, analyzes, and ensures adequate controls of inventory balances; audits the cycle count process for inventory.
- Posts direct labor hours.
- Establishes and reviews standard costs.
- Performs manufacturing and month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, preparation and distribution of financial information, account analysis and reconciliation.
- Analyze monthly budget vs actual manufacturing variances.

Assists with the annual fiscal year-end audit and any internal audits as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Pay: Pay USD $90,000.00/Yr. to USD $98,000.00/Yr.
