We are looking for a skilled medical assistant to join our pain clinc team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front and back office medical duties, excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care.
Duties and Responsibilitiies:
- Obtain medical history, room patients, obtain vital signs and medication lists from patients
- Help prepare patients for examinations, procedures and treatments
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling follow up appointments, returning patient phone calls and making follow up calls after injections in clinic
- Calling patients to confirm appointments
- Conducting insurance verifications and authorizations (wll train)
- Providing exceptional customer service and demonstrate empathy to patients
- Must be efficient, organized and pay attention to detail
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities
- Assist doctor during procedures
- Basic computer skills, willing to learn a new EMR software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
