With all of our smart growth and innovation, our Senior Engineer is vital to the Planning and Community Development department. In this role, you will work on code compliance for the structural stability of complex and unique structures in Redmond. This position is responsible for a broad range of advanced-level plan reviews related to the enforcement of commercial building codes adopted in the Redmond Municipal Code.

Building codes are being updated regularly and you know its vital to stay current with changing information.

Interpreting codes and standards is challenging and can be frustrating for people to navigate. But you have a gift for walking someone through the process with empathy and helping them understand how the codes and regulations apply to their project.
Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.

Seven (7) years engineering experience which includes three years of project administration and management responsibilities.

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certificates

Engineer-Senior requires a Professional Engineer's License.

Valid Washington State Driver's License required
