Part-Time English Reading & Writing Instructor

Bright Pine Academy is a growing K–12 academic education organization serving students and families in the North Austin area. As we continue to expand our programs and instructional team across the Round Rock and Cedar Park communities, we are seeking a thoughtful, skilled, and dependable Part-Time English Reading & Writing Instructor.
This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys helping students become stronger readers, clearer writers, and more confident thinkers.
We are looking for someone who can do more than supervise assignments. Strong candidates should be able to explain concepts clearly, engage students in meaningful discussion, and provide thoughtful feedback that helps students improve.
Responsibilities
- Teach reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing
- Lead structured small-group instruction using established academic materials
- Help students organize ideas and develop stronger written responses
- Encourage critical thinking through discussion and guided questioning
- Provide clear and constructive feedback on student work
- Adapt explanations to different student needs and ability levels
- Maintain a focused, positive, and professional learning environment
- Communicate meaningful student progress or concerns with the academic team
Qualifications
- Strong English reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills
- Ability to explain concepts clearly and work effectively with children and teenagers
- Professional, dependable, and organized
- Able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule
- Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress preferred
Preferred Experience

- Academic tutoring
- Reading or writing instruction
- SAT/ACT English or Reading/Writing

Schedule
Part-time | In-person | Round Rock / North Austin area
Most instruction takes place on weekday afternoons and evenings.
Typical teaching availability is between approximately 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Saturday availability is a plus.
We strongly prefer candidates who can maintain a consistent schedule throughout the academic year.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience, qualifications, educational background, and instructional expertise.
