Job Title: Production Support Technician (Intern/Entry-Level)
Location: San Diego, California
Duration: 6 Months
Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour (or replace with your actual bill/pay rate)
Job Summary
Under close supervision, the Production Support Technician provides support for manufacturing operations by performing moderately complex production and laboratory-related tasks. The role is responsible for assisting with production goals while following established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform production support activities according to established procedures and GMP guidelines.
- Assist with laboratory and manufacturing tasks to support production objectives.
- Operate laboratory equipment following standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and production notes.
- Follow safety protocols and proper material handling procedures, including universal precautions for potentially biohazardous materials.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and quality goals.
- Adhere to applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Laboratory coursework or equivalent academic training.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, chemicals, and standard laboratory practices.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory or manufacturing experience.
- Hands-on experience operating laboratory equipment and performing basic laboratory techniques.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of GMP and quality systems.
- Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, QSR, or similar regulated environments is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software/systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
