Holmer Americas is the North American subsidiary of Holmer Maschinenbau GmbH, a German manufacturer of agricultural machinery. We specialize in refurbishing and repairing Holmer-brand sugar beet harvesters, loader/cleaners, and carts, along with other equipment brands taken on trade.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues with agricultural equipment, including hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components
- Perform minor engine and transmission maintenance/repairs as needed
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of moving parts
- Replace worn or defective parts and components, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent on each task
- Interact with customers or farm operators to explain repairs and provide advice on equipment care and maintenance
- Travel to farm locations to perform on-site repairs and maintenance as required; some travel outside Michigan may be necessary to support customers in other beet-growing areas
Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and general mechanical repair preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in and around farm equipment, including confined spaces on machinery
