In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. As a Patient Companion, you will help facilitate Cleveland Clinic's mission by providing compassionate and top-quality care. In this role, you will assist RNs, physicians, dietitians and other staff in coordinating and fulfilling treatment plans. A caregiver in this position works night s from 6:45 P M – 7:15 A M, including every other weekend and 2 holidays per year.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Assist with direct and indirect patient care for one to two patients, such as rooming, vital signs, weight and pulse oximetry. If assigned to a closed unit, provide constant observation only for safety for three to four patients.
