Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stair Lift and Repair Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stair lift systems in residential settings. Duties
- Install, inspect, and repair stair lift systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure precise installation
- Utilize hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and specialized machinery to assemble and modify components
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime for clients
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks required for equipment installation and repairs
- Ensure compliance with power tool safety protocols during all phases of work
- Document service activities thoroughly, including repair reports and installation logs
Skills
- Construction estimating and blueprint reading skills to accurately assess project requirements
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing, and woodworking machines
- Strong background in residential carpentry, trim carpentry, framing, siding, and remodeling projects
- Experience with construction site safety practices and power tool safety standards
- Knowledge of wood construction materials, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and fixture installation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans effectively
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and restoration work
- Experience with flooring installation and heavy lifting techniques necessary for equipment setup
- Handyman experience that includes general repairs and maintenance tasks on various building components
- Skills in metal stud framing, assembly work, reinstallation of components, and rebar placement
